About ADINET
Advance Information Network of Libraries in Gujarat (ADINET) is a project established in 1994 by National Information System for Science and Technology (NISSAT), Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India.
The main objective of ADINET is to bring together all libraries and information centers in Gujarat on a single network to facilitate resource sharing and information exchange.
ADINET is catering to the information needs of scientists, researchers, students, and the academic community in the state of Gujarat.
Vision
To empower the library and information community of Gujarat by connecting them through a state-of-the-art network for seamless access to knowledge resources.
Mission
- To link libraries in Gujarat via a computer network.
- To facilitate sharing of resources like books, journals, and databases.
- To prepare union catalogues of resources.
- To conduct training programs for library professionals.
